Description

If you’re craving warm, fluffy cinnamon rolls but don’t want to wait hours for dough to rise, these easy no-rise cinnamon buns are the perfect solution. These homemade mini cinnamon rolls are soft, gooey, and finished with a sweet frosted drizzle. The best part? They come together in minutes using just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

120 g self-raising flour (about 6 heaped tablespoons) If using plain/all-purpose flour, add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

100 g Greek yogurt (about 4 tablespoons)

2 teaspoons butter

2 teaspoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

For the cream cheese frosting

3 tablespoons icing sugar

1/4 cup cream cheese (like Philadalphia cream cheese)

Instructions

Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix the self-raising flour and Greek yogurt until a dough forms.
The dough should be smooth and form a dough ball.

If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.

If the dough is too dry, add a little more yogurt.

Roll the Dough

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape.

Add the Filling

Spread the butter over the dough.
Sprinkle over the sugar and cinnamon evenly.

Roll and Slice

Roll the dough tightly into a log.
Slice into mini cinnamon rolls.

Air Fryer Option:
Air fry at 180°C for about 10 minutes.

Bake

Place the rolls on a baking tray.

Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.

Make the Frosting

Mix the icing sugar and smooth cream cheese until creamy.

Frost the Cinnamon Rolls

Drizzle the frosted cream cheese topping over the warm rolls.

Notes

Don't overmix: Mix the flour and Greek yogurt until the dough just forms a smooth dough ball. Overmixing can make the cinnamon rolls dense instead of fluffy.

Frost while warm: Drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the buns while they are still warm so it melts slightly and creates extra gooey cinnamon rolls.

Add extra cinnamon sugar: If you love extra sweet cinnamon rolls, sprinkle a little more cinnamon and sugar before rolling the dough.
