Description

If you’re looking for crispy pan-fried dumplings with juicy mince filling, this easy homemade recipe is the perfect weeknight meal. These dumplings use a simple pan-fry and steam method to create a golden, crispy base with soft, tender wrappers.


Ingredients

Scale

2 cups of Mince meat

wonton wrappers

a good pinch of salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

2 tablespoons soya sauce

water, just enough to cover the bottom of the dumplings

2 tablespoons sesame seed oil, (this prevents the dumplings from sticking together)

Chili oil to serve (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Make the filling

In a bowl, combine:

Mince meat

Garlic spice

Onion powder

Smoked paprika

Sesame seeds

Soy sauce

Mix well until fully combined.


Step 2: Assemble dumplings Roll mixture into small meatballs

Place each meatball into a pan.

Cover with a wonton wrapper

Fold or wrap to seal


Step 3: Steam Add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan

Drizzle sesame oil

Cover with a lid

Steam for 10 minutes or until cooked

Step 5: Serve Drizzle with chili oil (optional)

Serve hot

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan.

Keep heat medium to avoid burning.

Let water reduce for extra flavour
