Description

The easiest Chocolate Marshmallow recipe (kid-friendly recipe). A fantastic way to involve the kids in the kitchen. With 3 ingredients and a lot of fun, these are a must-try for your next kid-friendly gathering or party!

Ingredients

Scale

1 bag of marshmallows (about 200 grams)

100g chocolate

1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)

cake sprinkles of choice

Lolly pop sticks or skewers

Instructions

  1. Gather Your Supplies Before diving in, ensure you have all your ingredients and tools ready. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper to place the finished pops on.
  2. Melt the Chocolate. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler. Stir the chocolate occasionally to ensure it melts evenly. Once melted, let it cool slightly to avoid melting the marshmallows.
  3. Tip. If you have trouble melting the chocolate to a smooth consistency, add the coconut oil and stir.
  4. Assemble the Marshmallow Pops. Insert lolly pop sticks into each marshmallow about halfway through. This step makes it easier to dip the marshmallows into the melted chocolate.
  5. Dip and Twirl. Hold the marshmallow by the lolly pop stick and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is evenly coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off, then twirl the marshmallow to create a smooth chocolate coating.
  6. Add Toppings. This is where the fun begins! While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your favorite toppings over the marshmallows.
  7. Let Them Set. Place the chocolate-covered marshmallows on the parchment paper and let them set at room temperature. Alternatively, you can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve and Enjoy. Once the chocolate coating has hardened, your chocolate-covered marshmallows are ready to be enjoyed. Arrange them in a decorative vase or serve them on a dessert platter.
  9. Remember, the key to a successful marshmallow chocolate experience is to have fun and enjoy the process! 🥰

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate: Opt for good quality chocolate, whether it's dark, milk, or white. The better the chocolate, the richer the flavor.

Double-boiler method: Melt the chocolate using a double boiler to prevent it from burning or seizing. If using a microwave, use short burst and stir frequently.

Parchment paper for easy cleanup: Place the dipped marshmallow pops on parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup. The pops won't stick, any any excess chocolate can be easily peeled away.
