HIGH-PROTEIN BLENDED COTTAGE CHEESE

Description

This high-protein blended cottage cheese is creamy, smooth, and so simple to make with very minimal ingredients. It’s great for a dip, spread, breakfast bowl, or dessert. Containing a whopping 7 grams of protein per 1/4 cup!


Ingredients

  • 1 tub cottage cheese (full-fat works best)

Instructions

  1. Place the cottage cheese in a high-speed blender, or food processor, or use an immersion blender.
  2. Start blending the mixture at a low speed and gradually increase the speed to high. Blend for at least 30 seconds. You might need to stop and scrape the sides of the blender and then continue. Blend until it is a creamy and smooth consistency.
  3. Transfer the blended cottage to a serving bowl. Get creative with your toppings or add-ins. The options are endless. Enjoy!

Notes

Place the blended whipped cottage cheese back into the container for easy storage.

Using a high-fat cheese content yields a creamier texture.

On a hot day, the creamed cottage cheese could start to melt. If serving it as a dip or a filling in a cake, keep it in the fridge until you are ready to serve it.

Serve it on toast with jello, jam, or honey, or spread it on bagels or pancakes.

You can use it to replace mayonnaise or sour cream in recipes like salads, dips, and sandwiches to reduce the overall fat content while enjoying a rich flavor.
