Description

Creamy garlic parm sauce (10 minutes) is buttery, rich, and cheesy, making it perfect for everyone, including keto or gluten-free options. Plus, it's not complicated and can be made from scratch in just a few minutes. Whether you're looking for a pasta sauce, a base for a white pizza, a dip for chicken wings, or a sauce for steak, this sauce has got you covered.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon flour

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

pinch of salt and ground black pepper

Instructions

Heat the Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

Add Garlic and Sauté: Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the melted butter. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

Add Flour: Sprinkle in the flour, whisking continuously to form a roux. Cook for another minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.

Add Cream: Slowly pour in the organic heavy cream, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to cook and whisk until the mixture starts to thicken.

Incorporate Parmesan: Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.

Season: Add sea salt and a pinch of black pepper to taste, stirring well to combine.

Serve: Remove from heat and use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave before using.

Notes

Don't overcook the garlic: Saute the garlic just until fragrant. Overcooking the garlic can make it bitter.

Seasoning: taste the sauce before adding more salt so you don't over-season.

Too thick? Add some more cream.

Too thin? If it's too thin, let it simmer a bit longer, or mix a small amount of flour with cold water and stir it into the sauce.
