Description

London Fog Latte is black tea infused with warm milk. Resulting in a brew of creamy tea with citrusy notes. Whether enjoyed in the morning to kickstart your day or in the evening as a soothing wind-down, this classic Earl Grey tea latte will become a favorite. Serve it hot or cold. Vegan adaptable.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf Earl Grey tea)
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • optional sweetener of choice (such as granulated sugar or vanilla coffee syrup)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Earl Grey Tea: Boil 1 cup of water and steep the Earl Grey tea bags or loose-leaf tea for about 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse fully.
  2. Prepare the Milk Mixture: While the tea is steeping, heat the milk in a separate saucepan over medium heat. Be cautious not to let it boil, but heat it until it's warm.
  3. Combine Tea and Milk: Once the tea is brewed, remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaves. Pour the brewed tea into a cup
  4. Add Milk and Flavorings: Gently pour the warm milk into the tea, creating a beautiful layering effect. Add the sweetener of choice and (optional) vanilla extract, stirring until the sweetener dissolves.
  5. Optional Sweetener: Adjust sweetness to your liking. Some prefer the natural sweetness of the milk, while others may add a drizzle of honey or syrup.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Your London Fog is now ready to be enjoyed. Optional, you can dust a little ground cinnamon on the top of the tea for garnish.

Notes

Steamed or Frothed Milk: If you enjoy a latte-like texture, try steaming or frothing the milk before adding it to the tea. This adds a creamy and luxurious feel to the drink.
