Description
Rich, creamy, and loaded with garlicky cheese sauce, Mom’s Budget Alfredo with Spaghetti is the ultimate cozy meal without the price tag. It’s a no-fuss, family-favorite dinner that’s ready in minutes and made with simple pantry staples.
Ingredients
1 packet of spaghetti
a little olive oil to coat the cooked spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter
4-5 cloves garlic, crushed (fresh garlic is best!)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
500 ml heavy cream
2 handfuls of shredded cheese (anything that melts, like cheddar and/or mozzarella)
Instructions
Cook the Spaghetti – Follow the package instructions, but don’t forget to salt the water! Once done, drain and drizzle a little olive oil to keep it from sticking.
Sauté the Garlic – Melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Add the crushed garlic, salt, and black pepper, and cook low and slow until fragrant and tender. This step makes all the difference!
Make the Creamy Sauce – Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. You’ll know it’s ready when it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Add the Cheese – Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts.
Mix in the Spaghetti – Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce.
Serve & Enjoy! – Plate it up and devour it immediately. (Optional: Sprinkle with black pepper, chili flakes, or more cheese!)

Notes
Use Any Melty Cheese – Cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix—whatever you have!
Avoid Pre-Shredded Cheese – It might be convenient, but pre-shredded cheese often contains anti-caking agents and preservatives that prevent it from melting smoothly. For a creamier sauce, grate your own cheese fresh!
Upgrade It! Toss in some veggies like sautéed mushrooms or steamed broccoli for extra nutrients.
Make It Extra Saucy – If the sauce gets too thick, stir in a splash of pasta water to loosen it up.
