Description
4 ingredient banana bread (baked in your air fryer!) If you’ve got a couple of ripe bananas lounging on the counter (you know, the ones you were convinced that you’d eat last week), this is your sign to turn them into the easiest, most healthy banana cake ever.
Ingredients
4 large bananas (nice and ripe!)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar (tightly packed)
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour (to make your own self-raising flour, see the note above 👆🏼💡)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
Whisk in the eggs and brown sugar until combined.
Fold in the self-raising flour gently (don’t overmix – we want fluffy, not dense)
Air fry for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
💡 Check your air fryer early – Not all air fryers bake at the same speed. Start checking after 30 minutes, but don’t worry if yours needs longer. (Mine took about 50 minutes to bake fully.)
Pour into a lined loaf pan that fits in your air fryer basket.
Cool in the tin for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Go chocolatey – Stir in chocolate chips for a dessert-style banana bread.
Boost the protein – Add a spoonful of peanut butter into the batter or drizzle on top before serving.
Don’t skip the cool time – Letting it cool completely makes it easier to slice and keeps it moist.
