💰 WHY THESE COOKIES ARE BUDGET-FRIENDLY?

💰 Pantry staples – Flour, sugar, oats, and baking soda are inexpensive ingredients you likely already have.

💰 Small-batch baking – The air fryer means you can make only what you need, saving on energy and avoiding waste.

💰 Oats = cheap and filling – Rolled oats stretch the recipe further without sacrificing that chewy texture.

💰 Customizable – Use store-brand chocolate chips, swap raisins for any dried fruit you already have, or skip them altogether to save a few dollars.

Description

Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies can be made in the air fryer or the oven! They’re soft and chewy with the comfort of rolled oats, melty chocolate chips, and pops of fruity raisins. These easy homemade cookies have a buttery flavor, and you won't be able to stop eating them!

Ingredients

Scale

120 g all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

113 grams unsalted butter at room temperature

140 grams light brown sugar, packed (brown sugar keeps the cookie soft and chewy in the middle)

65 grams white granulated sugar. (white sugar helps keep the edges crisp and firm)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

135 grams rolled oats

50 g raisins

150 grams of chocolate chips of choice

Instructions

Mix dry ingredients – In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Cream butter and sugars – In a larger bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, mixing until just combined.

Beat the butter and sugar.

Add the egg.

Combine – Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix on low until almost combined. Stir in rolled oats, chocolate chips, and raisins.

Shape – Scoop cookie dough into balls and place them on parchment that fits inside your air fryer basket. Chill the dough for one hour in the fridge. Chilling the dough is optional, but it does help prevent the cookies from spreading too much.

Chill the cookie dough.

Air fry in batches – At 170°C/325°F for about 7 minutes, until edges are just set. The cookies are done when the edges start to turn golden brown. The centers will still look soft but fully cooked — they’ll firm up as they cool.

* If baking in the Oven - Bake at 190°C/375 °F for about 8-10 minutes, until the edges are just set. Then remove from the oven and allow to cool for 1-2 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack.

Place the cookies in the air fryer.

Rest – Remove the basket from the air fryer and let cookies sit for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. While cooling, continue air frying the remaining cookies in batches.

💫 If you loved this recipe, leave a 5-star review and rating!

Notes

Don’t overcrowd – Air fry in batches for even cooking.

Watch closely – Every air fryer is different; check a minute early to avoid overbaking.

STORAGE: Keep in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes for that fresh-baked feel.
