WHY IS THIS BUDGET FRIENDLY?

  • 🍫You can enjoy a healthy snack or dessert without splurging on expensive protein bars or pre-made treats.
  • 🥥 Pantry staples — coconut oil, sugar, and cocoa powder are all affordable and used in many other recipes.

  • 🍪 No oven needed — saves on electricity and time, making it a super economical treat.

🥄 INGREDIENTS NEEDED AND SUBSTITUTIONS:

SOFTENED COCONUT OIL OR BUTTER:

Gives the cookie dough that rich, melt-in-your-mouth texture. 👉 You can swap it for butter if you prefer a creamier flavor.

MILK:

Helps bring the dough together and makes it smooth. 👉 Use any kind, almond, oat, soy, dairy—whatever’s in your fridge.

COCONUT SUGAR OR BROWN SUGAR:

Adds natural sweetness and a hint of caramel flavor. 👉 Brown sugar works just as well if that’s what you’ve got.

ALMOND FLOUR:

Makes the dough soft, fluffy, and gluten-free.

UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER:

Gives the dough its deep, chocolatey flavor without adding extra sugar. 👉 For a milder taste, use less cocoa or mix half cocoa with chocolate protein powder.

CHOCOLATE CHIPS

The fun part. 👉 Use dark, semi-sweet, sugar-free, or even chopped chocolate chunks.

Description

This Protein Cookie Dough is the ultimate guilt-free snack or dessert that tastes like the real thing—but with a wholesome twist. It’s soft, chocolatey, low sugar, and made in one bowl. Each serving has around 6g of protein, making it perfect for anyone looking to squeeze in some extra protein.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons softened coconut oil or butter

3-4 tablespoons milk

¼ cup coconut sugar or brown sugar

¾ cup almond flour

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Cream the coconut oil and sugar: In a medium bowl, mix together softened coconut oil (or butter) with coconut sugar until fluffy and well combined.

Add the milk: Pour in the milk a tablespoon at a time until smooth and creamy.

Mix in the dry ingredients: Add almond flour and cocoa powder. Stir until a soft, chocolatey dough forms.

Fold in the chocolate chips: Because no cookie dough is complete without them. 🍫

Roll or scoop: Shape into cookie dough balls or enjoy it straight from the bowl (no judgment here).

Notes

Soften, don’t melt the coconut oil: If it’s too runny, the dough may turn oily. Softened oil gives the best texture.

Add milk slowly: Start with 3 tablespoons and add more only if the dough feels dry. It should be soft but not sticky.

Mix-ins are your bestie: Fold in chopped nuts, seeds, or even sugar-free sprinkles for extra crunch and fun.

Adjust texture: If the dough feels too dry, add a splash of milk. If it’s too soft, add a spoonful of almond flour to thicken it up.
