PEACHES AND COTTAGE CHEESE

I love a healthy breakfast and incorporating high protein, like cottage cheese. My cottage cheese chocolate mousse inspired this recipe.

Cottage cheese is such a versatile product, and there is so much you can do with it and a little bit of imagination.

I love cottage cheese on toast or blended cottage cheese added to granola.

💰 WHY THIS RECIPE IS BUDGET-FRIENDLY?

💰 Cottage Cheese = Cheap Protein
Cottage cheese is one of the most affordable high-protein foods out there. You’re getting serious muscle fuel (10–15g protein per ½ cup!) without the price tag of meat or protein powders.

💰 Canned Peaches Are Inexpensive
You don’t have to splurge on fresh fruit—grab a no-name brand tin of peaches. They're sweet, juicy, and way cheaper than most berries.

💰 No Fancy Equipment or Extras Needed
All you need is a blender. No oven, no stove, no extra ingredients. It’s just blend-and-go bliss.

🥄 INGREDIENTS NEEDED AND SUBSTITUTIONS

COTTAGE CHEESE:

The creamy base of this recipe, cottage cheese, brings protein and a slight tang that pairs perfectly with sweet peaches. For a lighter option, use low-fat cottage cheese.

PEACHES:

Fresh peaches add natural sweetness and a juicy bite, but canned peaches work just as well and are convenient year-round. Just drain them to keep the texture thick, or try mangoes or nectarines for a fun twist.

📝 TIPS AND TRICKS

Blend Until Nice and Smooth – For that dreamy, creamy texture, make sure to blend until everything’s perfectly smooth.

For Peachy Chunks – If you like a bit of bite, add a few extra peach slices towards the end and pulse a couple of times. This will give you those juicy peachy chunks throughout.

Scrape the Sides – Midway through blending, stop and scrape down the sides of the blender to make sure every last bit of cottage cheese and peach gets incorporated. Then, blend a little more to keep it all silky.

Chill It for Extra Creaminess – If you want a thicker, ice-cream-like texture, pop it in the fridge for about 15 minutes to firm up.

Customize the Sweetness – Add a little more or a little less maple syrup or honey to taste! This recipe is flexible, so make it just the way you like it.
